Summer is at its peak in Buenos Aires. Marcela, a married mother of three, copes with her sister’s death and with the painful task of emptying out her apartment. When Nacho, a friend of her daughter, offers to help, she unexpectedly finds comfort in his company and an affair ensues. Argentinian actress María Alché goes behind the camera and directs her first feature film - an enigmatic work at the center of which is Mercedes Morán’s exquisite performance. Alché works with cinematographer Hélène Louvart and Luciano Azzigotti’s music to construct Marcela’s contemplative and destabilized world in an enchanting film where past and present blend in the hazy days of heightened emotion. Winner of the Horizons Award for best Latin American film at the San Sebastian FF.
