Special Tribute for an Extraordinary Contribution to the Israeli Film Industry

The Jerusalem Film and Television Fund and the Jerusalem Film Festival are awarding the third Special Tribute Award to Israeli filmmakers in a category that is not recognized by festivals and academy ceremonies. These individuals are an inseparable part of the success of Israeli film and for this we honor them with this award.

This year, the award will be presented to Mr. Itzhak (Itzik) Ben Aroya for his extraordinary contribution to the Israeli film industry. The many films to which he contributed significantly include: Under the Domin Tree, Bar 51, Beyond the Walls, Big Eyes, Kazablan, The Policeman, and Highway Queen.
